CONDOMS:ARE THEY DOING THE JOB OR NOT?

Are they really helping positively i.e. reducing the rate at which HIV is growing or helping NEGATIVELY and that is increasing the number of HIV people.

What is best?Going to war with armour or not?Is it true that condoms are helping the spread of HIV which leads to AIDS or not? Some of us can concur,as i do,that condoms somehow encourages us to be promiscous.

The leader of the Roman Catholic church who is on a tour in Cameroon and Angola has said that HIV cannot be stopped by distributing condoms. He said it increases the disease on the contrary. He has said this though some nuns and priests preach the use of condoms forpeople to protect themseles against this disease which is ravaging through this part of the world.

This is true somehow because the distribution of condoms in other ways round is encouraging promiscuity.People do not use condoms most of the times they sleepp with their partners. What do you think will go in the mind of a young boy in possession of a condom?.Robbers do not just keep guns as a show off, they are there to be used, that is exactly the answer.

Its agreeable that condoms in another way round for those who constantly use them have been of help,in the sense that they have reduced the number of unwanted pregnancies ,helped the reduction of HIV transmission and other STI's.On he other hand it is true to admit that they have encouraged people to be promiscous thereby spreading the disease, making young girls pregnant and have kids without responsible dads.

MALAWI AND IMMIGRATION

For along while, the Malawi has see an influx of foreigners into the country. There has been an increase of people from from allover the world ranging from Nigerians, Somalians, Rwandans, Burundians,Indians and all sorts from allover the world.

There are some who are in the country for valid reasons and then those who are here for economic reasons, weather legitimate or illegitimate. So many of them have opened up various kinds of businesses in our major shops selling all sorts of goods and equipment. There are een some, especially Nigerians dealing in counterfeit goods and documents.Devil Street in Lilongwe being the hub of affairs,as its name implies.

Of late there has been an increase of Chinese people in various locations of our cities and in some districts as well opening up shops etc.The question is,how many of these people are legitimate? We mean people who are allowed to stay here legally and do business,

There are so many questions to be answered as regards this matter. For example, why are refugees allowed to run businesses instead of having them in refugee holding camps? They are running businesses that us ordinary Malawians can do.They get help from United Nations and on op of that they are allowed to do businesses. Why do we have places like Dzaleka. As a matter of fact there is no more fighting in their respective countries, though bits of rebel attacks in Somalia. Why cant these people be sent back to their countries? Is the government getting something in return and that being the reason why they can not be pushed back to their countries ,due to the aid it gets?

There Nigerians, who arrange BOGUS MARRIAGES with some of our women so that they stay in the country to do various shady deals. Why are you ,our women sinking so low, allowing to be used in this way. Many of them are running various businesss like minibuses and other transportation business and using Malawian men and women as registered owners. This has been allowed for a long time and someting needs to be done. There are so many Indians working as SHOP BOYS,who act so shifty when they see you in their shops.A lot of Malawian men and women are walking down the streets everyday, looking for jobs that these Indians take.Wwhen they take these jobs as well you will find in most cases they better paid than local folks. Why are we suffering in silence?

Some may say disagree with me,i am being hormophobic.NO is the answer.Something need to be done, because we see and read alot about Malawians being deported from various countries for overstaying their visas, yet we are allowingit here. Why can't we do the same and get rid of these illegals. We have to agree that these people employ people, but it has to be legal because in most cases you will find that they do not pay government taxes.

It is time that, the government department responsible for this should wake up and do its job. There have been times where people have been deported and this has to continue.Better decisions have to be made by the people responsible other than just sitting in your posh offices, behind your office desks, drinking tea and waiting to be paid yet no GOOD job is being done. While i ma writing this i have been advised that some Burundians have been told to move back to Dzaleka Refugee Camp and stop trading.Thats a welcome development.Go and sweep the shops as well.

..ANY COMMENTS PLEASE WELCOME.

PRESIDENTIAL AND PARLIAMENTARY ELECTIONS.

Today see all parties in Malawi starting their campaign for presidential and parliamentary elections, though the campain has been there,on-going.

Most Malawians have alaready decided who to vote by now.Since the match has started, the referee,in this case Malawi Electoral Commission, watching carefully on the sides politicians will be busy ,as they have been trying to convince people to vote for them. They will be busy telling people about me,me,me,me.

There are some politicians who were given a chance before to ran the country but they messed it up big time. They messed up the econonomy by flooding circulating curency with fake ones(that they used to give as hand outs after printing in ther bed rooms),they messed up aid that was destined for government use to pay the hard working nurses, civil servants and paying for some good meaning development projects. But what did they do with it,God knows.

Its a shame therefore to sse them trying to woo you, coming back asking you to vote for them again. Those who are silly enough will do that.Look at the current president, how long has he been in power, what kind of development has been made?He has been a leader for 5 years despite the troubles he has faced but alot has been done. The economy has been stable, though there is the global eceonomic crisis.

My only appeal to fellow Malawians is that we should not be conned,we can clearly see who is the best to lead our beautiful country, than robbers, conmen who only think of their families and filling their own pockets.

Its better another 5 years of stable economy, more development and finishing of unfinished projects.See what Americans do,they give a president 2 terms. If he doesnt do well in that period,hs party is doomed.

I can see a good future for the young ones if the current leadership continues..
