SCARCITY OF FOREX

As another concerned Malawian,there is this issue about the scarcity of foreign currency in Malawi.

Its so much a shame that things have not changed after such a long time.They are times people say when we start tobacco sales we will have alot of foreign currency.There is so much corruption in banks that they cannot give you forein currency despite putting an application in time.A lot of reasons will be given that there is no foreign currency.The president is talking of doing some work to improve tourism.It makes you laugh,we will have tourists in the country but we cant have enough foreign currency to cater their needs when they are leaving e country.What about the local businessmen who cannot get it all because the bank workers want to be given ''a little something?'' to process your forex application.

We have all these Lebanese,Chinese,Sri Lankans,Indians and Pakistanis taking money outside the country.Something needs to be done about this because alot of local,small businessmen are struggling to do business all because they cannot get the forein currency needed to buy goods abroad.
